Looking after the place

Finding new printers to work with is one of my favorite things to do. We have a solid relationship with local B2 printers in Penrith who get the majority of our work but when an external job or a big book/brochure comes in I get the opportunity to shop around and get quotes.

I found a printers called Pureprint group, who are based in East Sussex, and I just wanted to sing their praises for being carbon neutral and having FSC accreditations. Here's to looking after the place!

Superbad

I am part of lovefilm.com and it is the BEST thing I ever subscribed too (SFX coming a close second). I have a list of 52 titles and I leave them to decide which ones I get, so it's always a surprise. I got Superbad sent and I finally got round to watching it last night and it made my day—it was excellent! All of the characters are hilarious, and that cutie guy from Juno (who reminds me of my mate Tom) was one of the leads, as well as a character who renames himself McLovin on his fake ID. I highly recommend it.

Inspiration

I find inspiration comes best when you least expect it, however this is not very convenient when you are working to deadlines. I often find myself trawling the internet looking for something, anything, to jump out and offer me an inspirational shunt in the right direction. Sometimes this is great fun, finding gems like—www.cpluv.com, where the links change hourly and sometimes it can be damn right labourious filtering through istock/gettyimages. No offense to these sights, or the people that use them, or upload work to them, but they are the last straw for me.

So—look, touch, taste, smell, draw, grope, stare, smile, talk, lick, chat, rant, dance, cook, rave, clean, whatever switches that all important button.
